In order to celebrate the month of November, we’ve decided to prepare a famous Tuscan cake called “Castagnaccio”. Castagnaccio (from the word “castagna” = “chestnut” ) is a gluten free tradional Tuscan cake made with chestnut flour, pine nuts, walnuts, raisins, rosemary and olive oil. A long time ago it was a dish for poor people, since it was made entirely from local, seasonal ingredients that could be stored for a long time.
